1.25inch Astronomical Filter Set 8 Colours

This 8-piece filter set is tailored for 1.25-inch (31.7 mm) telescope systems, combining optical glass filtration with mechanically stable aluminium alloy housings. Dimensions: barrel diameter 31.7 mm, face diameter ~4 cm (1.57 inches), weight per filter approx. 15–20 g. All units use standard fine-thread (M28.5×0.6 mm) specification for wide hardware compatibility. Filters are selected to support core observational goals: increasing planetary contrast, resolving fine lunar detail, separating star fields in clusters, and isolating emission lines in nebulae. The black filter serves exclusively as a solar viewer under low-irradiance conditions — validated for use only during civil twilight hours, never under full daylight. Suitable for refractors, reflectors and catadioptric systems commonly found among UK-based amateur astronomers, the set offers plug-and-play utility — no recalibration, no software dependency, no power source needed. Simply rotate between filters to match observing conditions and target type.
