Additionally, most array antenna have high losses in feed networking. This design uses coupled patches to keep feed networking simple and reduce these losses. Exceptionally good ratio, not just directly perpendicular to the Patches but also off-center. Though not as high as the theoretical gain of an array. This is because maximizing the gain would result in high sidelobes and a poor ratio. Very low sidelobes, almost all energy is concentrated in main lobes. This increases the width of main lobes, at the expense of some gain. Reasonably cheap and easy to manufactures with high accuracy, even for a hobbyist.
