Constructed from high-grade nylon, it measures approximately 12 cm in length and weighs 0.15 kg. Designed exclusively for clean water, it functions within a temperature limit of 70°C and a pressure range spanning 0.02 MPa (e.g., low-head gravity systems) up to 10 MPa (compatible with most UK household booster pumps). Its internal floating ball mechanism responds directly to water level changes — rising to shut off flow and dropping to reopen — eliminating reliance on external power or sensors. Suitable for tap water and domestic pump-fed systems with integrated pressure switches. For siphon or artesian sources, a minimum 15-metre head difference between source and discharge point is required for effective operation. Installation must follow strict orientation: float arm positioned vertically downward; inlet pipe mounted horizontally first; valve then secured to match nominal pipe size. Always verify upstream globe valve is fully open. If two units serve one tank, set at identical heights. Flush all pipework before first use to prevent debris-induced jamming.
