5V 4-Module MAX7219 LED Panel

A ready-to-use 5V LED display panel integrating four 8×8 common cathode matrices driven by dedicated MAX7219 ICs — all on a single 12.8 cm × 3.2 cm × 1.3 cm PCB. Designed for reliability and scalability: each module has 4 mounting holes (64 total), soldered round-pin headers, and standardised input/output interfaces for robust daisy-chaining. Includes a 20 cm 5-pin DuPont cable for direct microcontroller connection. The MAX7219 delivers full functionality — 8×8 static RAM storage, programmable scan limit (1–8), 150 µA shutdown mode, and selectable BCD/non-BCD encoding — all accessible via a simple 3-wire serial interface (DIN, CLK, CS). No external transistors or current-limiting resistors needed — each LED’s brightness and drive strength are managed on-chip.
