Each gasket is formed from homogeneous black PVC with controlled durometer hardness, ensuring optimal deformation under standard strainer locknut torque. Dimensions are held to ±0.15 mm tolerance: outer diameter 5.4 cm, inner diameter 3.2 cm. Material density and wall profile are calibrated to resist extrusion while maintaining conformability on slightly uneven sink surfaces. Used solely to reinstate the primary static seal at the strainer–basin junction, they require no curing time, solvent, or surface preparation. Compatible with both press-fit and threaded strainer types common in UK kitchens. Recommended for scheduled maintenance intervals (every 3–5 years) or as an immediate fix following visual inspection of discoloured, flattened, or brittle original gaskets — helping prevent secondary issues like silicone joint failure or corrosion beneath the strainer flange.
