A2179 US Keyboard Replacement

Genuine-specification US layout keyboard replacement for MacBook Air 13-inch Retina (A2179, released March 2020). Matches original dimensions: 285 mm wide × 112 mm deep × 3.5 mm thick. Constructed with reinforced plastic frame and gold-plated flex connector contacts for reliable signal transmission. Keycaps are UV-resistant ABS with legible, non-glossy print — resistant to wear from frequent use. Designed to integrate seamlessly with the A2179’s unique keyboard mounting system: four T5 screws + two adhesive pads + dual-side flex retention clips. Includes no additional hardware — users must reuse original screws and thermal pads. Fully tested for key rollover (2-key simultaneous press confirmed) and debounce timing compliance. Use case: targeted repair for keyboards affected by liquid spill residue, repeated key sticking (especially spacebar or shift), or intermittent connectivity due to flex cable fatigue — all common failure modes observed in 3+ year-old A2179 units.
