ABS Freezer Door Spring Casing Set

This set comprises two individually specified ABS plastic spring housings: a left-hand (LH) unit matching Dometic part number 2002236004, and a right-hand (RH) unit matching 2002236012. Both are manufactured using food-safe, non-yellowing ABS resin with controlled shrinkage characteristics, ensuring consistent fit across production batches. Each housing features chamfered edges, reinforced mounting lugs and a precisely contoured spring seat — critical for uniform force transmission and longevity. Installed in the upper freezer door assembly of Dometic and Electrolux absorption refrigerators, these housings retain the coil spring that delivers automatic door return. Their role is mechanical rather than decorative — any deviation in geometry or rigidity results in poor sealing, uneven wear and eventual gasket failure. This kit restores factory-spec performance without requiring component-level disassembly of the entire door mechanism. Validated for use across Dometic’s RM2300–RM4600 product families — including less commonly serviced models such as RM2301, RM2330, RM2452, RM2553 and RM4401 — it supports both domestic and commercial mobile refrigeration maintenance needs throughout the UK and wider European market.
