Adjustable 300W Step Down Converter

This high-power DC-DC buck converter features an FR4 PCB base and compact physical dimensions of 60 × 53 × 27 mm (2.4 × 2.1 × 1.1 in), with a net weight of 89 g (3.1 oz). Designed for flexible deployment, it accepts input voltages between 6 V and 40 V DC (10–40 V DC advised for best regulation), and outputs a smoothly adjustable 1.2–36 V DC. Maximum output current is rated at 20 A, with 15 A recommended for continuous duty. Efficiency peaks at 95% under 24 V → 12 V / 20 A conditions. Output voltage ripple stays within 50 mV, supporting stable operation for digital loads and analog sensors. Connections are made using robust screw terminals: VO+ and VO− for output, +IN and −IN for input, plus dedicated CV (voltage trim), CC (current limit), and EN (enable) control points. With shared ground between input and output, the module operates in CV mode at idle and switches to CC regulation under load. Built-in short-circuit protection resets automatically after fault removal — but intentional or extended shorting should be avoided to preserve longevity.
