ADUM3160 USB Isolation Module

Compact module measuring 52.9 x 14.2 x 23.6 mm, constructed from flame-retardant ABS plastic with internal metal shielding. Rated for continuous operation from -40°C to +85°C. Complies fully with USB 2.0 full-speed specification (12 Mbps); explicitly excludes high-speed and USB 3.0 devices. Features dual isolation barriers: 2500 V RMS for USB data signals (via ADUM3160 IC), and 1500 V RMS for isolated 5 V power delivery. Draws power solely from the upstream USB host port — no wall adapter or auxiliary supply needed. Works out-of-the-box on Windows, macOS and Linux without drivers or firmware updates. Designed for mission-critical isolation in environments where electrical noise, ground differentials or transient voltages threaten system reliability — such as embedded development labs, industrial control cabinets, motor drive testing and high-precision instrumentation. Breaks conductive paths that cause data corruption, device resets or hardware damage. Successfully tested with USB flash drives, digital cameras, SD card readers, external HDDs, USB security dongles, JTAG emulators (AVRJTAG, S-Lab, JET51), SWD programmers (PICKIT2, XDS100), ISP downloaders and USB-to-serial converters based on FT232, CP2102, PL2303 and CH341 chips — confirmed incompatible with USB Wi-Fi adapters and certain USB 3.0 storage devices.
