Compact ADXL345 Tilt Detection Module

A dedicated 3-axis digital accelerometer module based on the ADXL345 IC, delivering ±16g full-scale acceleration measurement. Housed in a rigid yet lightweight ABS enclosure, dimensions are approx. 20mm × 15mm × 5mm; total weight is less than 3 grams. Supports both I²C and SPI communication protocols with native 3.3V/5V logic compatibility. No external voltage translation needed for common microcontroller families. The module outputs calibrated acceleration values digitally, enabling robust tilt estimation (e.g., pitch/roll calculation) and motion event detection (tap, free-fall, activity/inactivity). All sensor registers are accessible for fine-grained configuration, including output data rate (up to 3.2kHz), interrupt mapping, and threshold adjustment. Used across robotics for self-balancing and path correction, in wearables for gait and posture monitoring, and in industrial settings to detect unintended machine tilting or vibration anomalies before failure occurs.
