Silicone lid is splash, burn resistant and dishwasher safe for durability.Ingredient thickness: We recommend filling the sandwich maker to a maximum height of 3 cm (e.g. 1 slice of bread + thinly sliced meat + cheese + some vegetables). Avoid overloading loose ingredients (such as lettuce or mushrooms). Flatten or fry the ingredients previously to reduce their volume.Burn protection: After heating in the microwave or oven, let the lid sit for a few minutes before opening to avoid steam burns. Wear anti-scald gloves or a paper towel when opening the lid.Microwave tip: Heat this sandwich maker in the microwave or oven on medium-low power (500-800 watts) for 1 to 2 minutes to avoid overheating.
