Glazing Repair Kit Double-Head Tools

This targeted glazing repair kit delivers five interlocking tools: a 13-in-1 hardened-steel glazing paddle, a double-headed alloy mallet (rubber + plastic ends), a plastic window roller, a double-head shovel, and a gasket hook. Handles are injection-moulded red-and-black plastic with aggressive anti-slip texturing. Metal components undergo stress-relief annealing for fatigue resistance. Approximate individual lengths: paddle — 33 cm; mallet — 18 cm; shovel — 28 cm; roller — 12 cm; hook — 16 cm. Total kit weight: ~1.2 kg. All dimensions conform to UK glazing industry field norms — e.g., shovel blade width (2.5 cm) matches standard glazing bead thickness; roller diameter (4 cm) aligns with common gasket channel depths (3–5 mm). The 13-in-1 paddle handles deglazing, bead removal, surface prep, and minor fastener work. The mallet’s dual ends allow selective force application: plastic for driving rigid components, rubber for compressing soft seals. The shovel’s two blade configurations enable safe, progressive removal of old beads and putty. The gasket hook extracts splines cleanly from narrow channels without twisting or breaking. The plastic roller ensures full gasket-to-frame adhesion — critical for achieving BS 6377-compliant air and water tightness in UK dwellings. Designed for rapid-response glazing repairs across diverse UK property types: tenanted flats with ageing double-glazed units, historic timber-framed buildings requiring sympathetic restoration, modern aluminium curtain walling, and PVCu tilt-and-turn windows. Commonly specified by housing associations for their in-house maintenance teams and used by independent glaziers fulfilling insurance-backed repair contracts — where tool reliability directly impacts job acceptance rates and customer satisfaction scores.
