High-Strength Retaining Compound Green

638 retaining compound is a high-strength, fast-curing anaerobic adhesive formulated for cylindrical mechanical assemblies with bond gaps up to 0.38 mm. It has a viscosity of 500 mPa·s and density of 1.25 g/cm³, supplied in a 50 ml polyethylene dimethacrylate formulation. The compound cures reliably when confined between close-fitting metal surfaces in the absence of air — delivering robust bonding on both active metals (e.g., steel, iron) and passive substrates including stainless steel. It operates effectively across a service temperature range of -50°C to +100°C, offers good tolerance to industrial oils, and maintains performance despite minor surface contaminants. Ideal for securing bearings, flanges, shafts, gears, pulleys and other rotating or vibrating cylindrical components where long-term locking and sealing are required.
