Leather Shallow Slot Edging Device

This leather shallow slot edging device is approximately 17.5 x 1.5 cm (6.89 x 0.59 inches) in size and consists of a solid wood handle attached to a stainless steel cutter head. It is available in three distinct blade widths — 4 mm, 5 mm, and 7 mm — each intended for forming shallow, well-defined slots along leather edges to support folding, stitching alignment, or aesthetic refinement. Used entirely by hand, the tool relies on steady guidance and moderate downward force to produce uniform grooves without damaging the leather substrate. Its minimalist construction prioritises function, longevity, and ease of integration into diverse leatherworking workflows.
