NEUDORFF pH-Bodentest, 1 SetDescription:For determining the lime requirements for garden, lawn and potting soils the fertility of a soil is primarily dependent on its content of humus and lime. While the humus intake is rarely too high, the soil must be supplied with lime after precise pH measurement. A weakly acidic soil reaction (pH 6 to 7) promotes metabolism in the soil and thus improves plant nutrition. However, too much lime can reduce the availability of phosphate and trace elements for the plants. Therefore, a soil test is one of the first steps, both in the garden and on the field. To do this, use Neudorff's pH soil test to quickly and inexpensively determine the lime status and the height of the lime requirements in the soil.- Depending on the lime content, the soils are divided into highly acidic, acidic, weakly acidic and neutral soils (see colour chart on the package). The demands of plant species on the pH of the soil are different. In general, the soil should be weak lysy to neutral. Few plants can tolerate a little more soil acid.- The lime content in the soil is reduced primarily by the washing out of the lime into the undersoil, further by the lime intake of the plants, by acid rain and by fertilizer with ammonium sulfate or Bitter salt.- If the pH value has dropped sharply, i.e. the soil is acidic, a healing calcification must be carried out.- The preservation calcification replaces the annual lime withdrawal in order to maintain the soil in good condition. Application:for: the determination of the lime requirement (pH value) of cultivated soilsProperties:Soil test set for simple and accurate determination of the lime requirement (pH value) of cultivated soils based on a dye reaction can be done by anyone without chemical prior knowledge in a few Minutes can be performed on the basis of simple tables, the necessary amount of lime can be easily determined is one of the first steps of soil improvement, since knowledge of the lime requirement is very important. Lime neutralizes soil acid and thus creates good conditions for a lively soil life. A weakly acidic soil reaction (pH 6 -7) promotes the turnover of substances in the soil and thus improves plant nutrition. However, an excess of lime can reduce the availability of phosphate and trace elements for the plants. with reagents and auxiliary utensils for 8 testsUse instructions: Taking soil samplesGardenland: From each 50 m2 garden area with a small shovel or a drill stick from 5 to 20 cm depth, take 4 soil samples of the same size and mix thoroughly with each other. Grassland (lawns, pastures, meadows): The sample is taken from a depth of 0-10 cm. The underbody sample is carried out from a depth of 10-25 cm. Cut out a triangular block (approx. 5-10 cm side length) with a knife and lift it out. Scrape the floor evenly from top to bottom with a spoon, put the block back into the lawn and tread firmly. Arable land: Take average samples from even soils from a depth of approx. 0-20 cm, approximately 40-50 punctures per hectare by means of a drill stick. If the latter is missing, the sample can be taken with a spade. The following points should be observed:- Mixed samples can only be taken from the same soil type and from soils with the same crop rotation.- A mixed sample should be approx. 500 g per hectare. Stones are to be read out.- The sample is easy to mix.- Sinks, soil elevations or other inequalities must be examined separately. Omitments, areas, mole heaps, bog holes as well as all places where barn fertilizer, lime or fertilizer have been stored.- The samples are taken at least 5 m from field edges, pre-turning or kinks.- The most favorable time for the removal of the Samples must be excluded from sampling after harvesting until the next fertilization.- Freshly fertilized fields. Soil survey:1. Fill the test tube 10 mm high with the mixing sample. The filling level can be read on the measuring scale on the packaging.2. Then fill up to 35 mm with distilled water.3. After adding a pH ground test tablet, close the tube with the stopper and shake until the tablet is dissolved.4. Then leave the solution to stand until it becomes clear.5. The appearing hue is compared in the backlight with the color gamut on the front of the pack and thus the pH value is determined. For shades that lie between the comparative colors, the pH value can be estimated sufficiently accurately. Pack size: Folding carton with reagents and auxiliary utensils for 8 testsApplication permitted by non-professional users.
