USB-connected PIC MCU programmer designed for practical, no-fuss development and maintenance. Accepts 8-pin to 40-pin DIP PIC chips via its integrated 40-pin ZIF socket. Measures ~12 × 8 × 3 cm and weighs ~150 g. Plastic enclosure ensures durability and light weight. Powered and controlled entirely over standard USB — no auxiliary power supply or additional interfaces needed. Verified compatible with Windows 98, 2000/NT, XP, and Windows 7. Contents: 1 x USB downloader unit, 1 x USB cable, 1 x ICSP cable. Programs, reads, and verifies most common PIC microcontrollers at higher speed than PICSTART PLUS. Includes full readout capability for program memory, plus detection of code protection bits. Software provides contextual prompts at each stage — erasure, programming, and verification — with immediate pass/fail confirmation. Dual programming pathways: use the ZIF socket for standalone chip programming or connect via onboard 7-pin or 8-pin ICSP headers for direct in-system updates — supporting rapid iteration and field servicing without desoldering.
