Precise 940nm Infrared Sensor

A purpose-built infrared beam sensor pair for electric chicken coop doors, featuring emitter and receiver units made from impact-resistant plastic. Emitter powered by 3V (2 x AAA batteries, not included); receiver powered by 12–24V DC. Operates at 940nm — invisible to poultry and immune to daylight interference — with beam accuracy within ±5° and functional range >12m. Fully sealed enclosure ensures resilience against UK rainfall, windblown dust and barnyard humidity. Outputs a simple, robust relay signal on beam interruption — compatible with any opener accepting standard dry-contact inputs (NO or NC). Includes mounting hardware and alignment aids for quick field installation.
