Precision Aluminium Tenon Layout Gauge

This tenon layout gauge uses a rigid 180 mm aluminium beam with a permanently fixed scribing pin and continuous 0–50 mm metric scale. Beam cross-section: 12 mm wide × 8 mm thick; total weight: 95 g. The scale is positioned along the beam’s upper surface for clear line-of-sight viewing during marking, and the scribe tip projects 3 mm beyond the beam edge for unobstructed access to timber surfaces. Intended for marking matching shoulders and cheeks on rails and stiles, it supports accurate joint replication across identical components — essential for batch production of cabinets, doors or furniture sets. Works effectively with both softwood and dense hardwoods when paired with a sharp pencil or knife for initial layout lines.
