Precision Saxophone Spring Hook

A purpose-built stainless steel spring hook for woodwind technicians, sized at 12 cm overall length and weighing 18 g. The hook tip is precision-ground to 0.8 mm width with a smooth radius, and the shaft tapers gradually from 3 mm to ensure maximum strength at the fulcrum point. Crafted from corrosion-resistant stainless steel, it retains sharp definition and surface integrity through repeated contact with springs, keywork, and cleaning agents. Its mechanical design prioritises control over brute force: the stiffness allows confident engagement and lifting of compressed springs without slipping or rolling off the coil, while the compact profile fits comfortably between closely spaced keys on saxophone tone holes or flute trill keys. The finish is satin-polished to reduce glare under workshop LED lighting while maintaining tactile feedback. Suitable for both emergency field fixes and bench-level regulation. Frequently deployed for alto sax octave mechanism reset, clarinet register key spring reattachment, and oboe half-hole vent spring alignment — especially where access is obstructed by tone hole chimneys or soldered braces.
