Professional Digital Chess Timer Portable

This digital chess timer is built from sturdy plastic and powered by two AA batteries (not included). Its lightweight, handheld form factor makes it ideal for club matches, school chess programs or travel. It implements five standard timing methods: BASIC (simple countdown), BONUS (time added after each move), DELAY (fixed pre-move grace period), BYO-YOMI (multiple fixed-time periods as used in Go), and COUNT-UP (running elapsed time). After countdown ends, it transitions seamlessly into positive timing mode. Time can be set per side up to 9:59:59, with real-time editing possible during gameplay. All configurations — including mode selection, time values and sound settings — persist across power cycles. The step recorder stores up to 999 moves for later verification or review. Prompt sounds and overall unit power can be toggled separately to suit venue requirements or personal preference.
