Two identical RS485 wireless transceivers, each sized 74 × 24 × 16 mm (no antenna), built with plastic + metal enclosure (blue). Input voltage: 4.5–5.5 V DC. RS485 interface pins: 5V, GND, A+, B−. Frequency band: 433–458.5 MHz, supporting 255 distinct channels. Transmit power: programmable from −40 dBm to +20 dBm (10 steps), max 100 mW. Receiver sensitivity: −114 dBm. Transparent transmission supports UART baud rates 1200–19200 bps (default 9600); air data rate: 10–100 kbps. Onboard MCU manages serial framing, device ID assignment, and channel/power configuration. Range: up to 500 m in open field. Operating temperature: −25 °C to +75 °C. Modules communicate natively in transparent mode — data written to RS485 port appears identically on the peer’s port, bit-for-bit. Supports one-to-one (2 pcs) or one-to-many (≥3 pcs) with master–slave hierarchy replicating wired RS485 bus logic. Strict single-transmitter rule prevents bus contention. AT command interface (AT+ENABLE=1) is accessible only in the first 180 seconds after boot — safeguarding field-deployed configurations in permanent installations like utility substation telemetry or school lighting systems. Used across UK sectors: wireless extension of Modbus RTU temperature/humidity sensors in HVAC retrofits; bidirectional control of IP PTZ cameras in listed buildings where cabling is prohibited; remote switching of RS485 relays for EV charge point load balancing; and integration with Wiser Home, OpenHAB or Control4 via native RS485 gateways.
