Compact plastic-housed RS485-to-Ethernet converter supporting serial data rates from 600 bps to 230.4 kbps with selectable parity (None, Odd, Even, Mark, Space). Equipped with a 10/100 Mbps RJ45 port featuring Auto-MDI/MDIX for flexible cabling. Operates in five distinct modes: TCP Server (configurable 1–16 clients), TCP Client, UDP Server, UDP Client and HTTPD Client — ideal for integrating Modbus RTU devices into modern IT networks. Configuration and real-time monitoring are handled entirely via web interface; firmware updates are delivered remotely. DHCP ensures automatic IP address assignment; DNS enables human-readable hostnames for remote access. Connection reliability is enhanced by heartbeat packets and user-defined registration packets for status verification and custom header use. Includes USR-VCOM software to create virtual COM ports on Windows — extending compatibility with legacy serial software. Fully functional in LANs, routed intranets and internet-connected configurations.
