The core optical element is OD 5.0 Bard Astro Solar Safety Film — optically neutral, free of streaks or blisters, and bonded to a stable composite substrate. At just 141g, it adds negligible weight to your setup and stores flat in a 215 × 215 × 35mm package. Enables safe, high-contrast views of sunspots, partial/total eclipses, and transit events — always with neutral white tonality and minimal scatter.
