Tap-Pressure Programmable Hose Timer

This hose timer is uniquely designed to operate without electricity or pumps — drawing actuation energy exclusively from standard UK tap water pressure (2–6 bar). Its IP65-rated enclosure guarantees protection against rain, windblown debris and UV radiation, while the UV-stabilised resilient plastic casing maintains mechanical integrity and button responsiveness across years of outdoor use. Power comes from two AAA 1.5V batteries (not included), supporting over six months of scheduled operation before replacement. Users define up to three daily watering sessions, each precisely adjustable from 1 to 120 minutes. All settings are configured via physical buttons only — no app, no internet, no subscription, no account creation. It is routinely installed in constrained UK environments: paved courtyards with no power access, school grounds governed by digital wellbeing policies, community gardens with rotating caretakers, and polytunnels where condensation would damage non-rated electronics. The design philosophy centres on resilience, transparency and autonomy — rejecting complexity that introduces failure points. There are no firmware versions to track, no servers to go offline, and no permissions to grant. What you see and touch is exactly what operates — every time.
