It implements the full TPM 2.0 specification including asymmetric cryptography (RSA/ECC), random number generation, and platform configuration registers (PCRs). The module contains no user-accessible storage or configurable settings — its operation is governed entirely by firmware-level commands issued by the host platform. Installation involves physically inserting the module into the correctly oriented header and enabling ‘TPM State’ in Gigabyte UEFI BIOS under the ‘Peripherals’ or ‘Security’ menu. Once active, it supports Windows BitLocker, Linux dm-crypt with TPM binding, and virtualisation technologies like KVM vTPM.
