Its compact circular form fits standard UK sink drain openings (approx. 9–11.5 cm diameter), weighs only 85 g, and features a seamless one-piece body with no glued or welded weak points. Internally, it layers three functional components: a top-tier perforated strainer basket (1.2 mm hole size), a silicone-sealed push-button stopper base, and a recessed compartment holding an activated carbon odour-absorbing pad. Drainage remains unimpeded during rinsing or dishwashing, while larger solids are retained above the mesh. When pressed down, the stopper creates a secure seal enabling sink-filling for soaking or hand-washing. After use, the entire unit lifts out cleanly for quick rinsing and reinstallation — designed for daily reliability without wear-related leakage or misalignment.
