UHC Light Pollution Filter

This UHC (Ultra High Contrast) light pollution suppression filter is precision-engineered for astronomical observation in light-polluted environments. It features a double-sided multi-layer coating on a precision-polished glass substrate with excellent parallelism, and includes a transparent anti-reflection film on the back surface to minimise stray light reflections. The filter mounts directly onto standard 1.25-inch eyepieces and is housed in a durable, rugged metal cell. Dimensions: standard 1.25-inch (31.7 mm) diameter; weight: approx. 30 g; optical thickness: ~3.0 mm; clear aperture: ≥28 mm. Ideal for visual observation and astrophotography of emission nebulae (e.g., Orion, Lagoon, Veil) from suburban or urban locations where sodium-vapour and mercury-vapour street lighting degrade contrast.
