US Layout Replacement Keyboard

Replacement keyboard designed specifically for the MacBook Air Retina 13-inch model A2179 (2020 release). Dimensions and mounting points match the original unit precisely. Constructed with durable keycaps and underlying membrane switch assembly consistent with OEM specifications. Lightweight and low-profile, maintaining the slim form factor of the laptop. Compatible only with the US English keyboard layout — keys include standard US labeling (e.g., 'Enter', 'Shift', 'Option', 'Command') without UK-specific symbols or placements. This is a functional replacement part intended to restore full typing capability after failure of the original keyboard. It delivers tactile feedback and key travel aligned with Apple’s design intent for this generation. No backlighting, no integrated trackpad — strictly the keyboard assembly. Ideal for users whose existing keyboard has become unresponsive, sticky, or physically damaged. Requires technical skill to install: removal of bottom case, battery disconnection, and precise ribbon cable reseating. Not recommended for beginners.
