USB Cash Drawer Trigger Module

The BT-100U is a compact USB interface module designed to connect standard cash drawers directly to a computer’s USB port — eliminating the need for a POS printer or cash register as an intermediary. Dimensions: not specified in source; weight: not specified; material: black plastic housing; powered entirely via USB bus (no external power adapter required). It emulates a virtual COM port using built-in VCP (Virtual COM Port) driver software, allowing legacy POS applications expecting RS232 serial communication to work unchanged. Each unit has a unique serial number, and the driver automatically assigns the next available COM port — supporting multiple BT-100U units on a single PC. Compatible with any cash drawer that accepts standard serial-triggered open commands (e.g., ASCII ESC/POS or generic TTL-level pulse signals). Plug-and-play operation enables hot swapping without rebooting or manual COM port configuration.
