W5100 Ethernet Shield SD Ready

This shield delivers wired Ethernet connectivity and local SD storage to Arduino-compatible controllers using the industry-proven Wiznet W5100 chip. Measuring as a standard Arduino shield and weighing 40g, it is mechanically and electrically compatible with Mega 2560, Mega 1280, Duemilanove (ATmega168/328) and Arduino 2009 boards. The W5100 provides independent hardware handling of MAC, PHY, IP, ICMP, UDP and TCP layers — enabling stable socket-based communication without burdening the ATmega core. The onboard SD card socket connects via SPI and is fully operational with Arduino’s SD library, supporting read/write operations alongside live network activity. Power is drawn solely from the host board’s 5V and GND pins, with no auxiliary supply required.
