Wooden Nautical Sextant STEM Learning Kit

A 24.0 x 18.5 x 6.0 cm (9.43 x 7.27 x 2.36 in) hands-on learning tool built from solid, sustainably harvested wood. Designed as a functional replica of a mariner’s sextant, it includes a calibrated arc, adjustable index arm and horizon-viewing aperture — all fully operational once assembled. The kit supports experiential learning in optics (refraction/reflection), measurement accuracy, and historical navigation methodology. Its open-ended nature encourages iterative testing: aligning sights, estimating angles, comparing results — turning play into authentic scientific practice rooted in centuries of maritime tradition.
